McKnight, left, who was a golf companion of Ben Hogan's when the two were youths, presents Ben and Valerie Hogan with a framed proclamation declaring Monday 'Ben and Valerie Day.' Standing behind Ben is City Manager W. O. Jones. The presentation took place on the front steps of City Hall.
