    Description

    Joe Hale, 64-year-old blacksmith, reads his Bible daily at Providence Hospital in Waco, giving thanks that his life was spared in the tornado that hit the city, May 11. He and two other victims are in hospitals. He suffered a broken pelvis and other fractures. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on July 12, 1953.
