Description
Stephenville State Bank opened for its first day of business in a new building. Miss Carolyn Cole, left, is one of the bank's first customer shown with Assistant Cashier G. T. Cook. The new buildings's featured is a 48-ton air-conditioner. The structure 52 ft wide and 104 feet long includes a community room for club meetings, a kitchen and coffee room. The bank occupies the first floor of a two-story building cost of $135,000. It has five cashier's cages and a drive-in teller's window. Twelve office suites occupy the second floor. The building's architect was Wyatt C. Hedrick of Fort Worth.
