Mrs. James Leonard, center, secretary of Tarrant County chapter, National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, received check for $1,448 from Mr. and Mrs. Bob Edd Carrell (at left and right) at formal opening of B&R Bowlanes Saturday [July 4, 1953] night. The Carrells were co-chairmen of the recent H. O. Oliver bowling tournament which raised the money. Published in the in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 6, 1953.
