Governor Shivers, left, Thursday received his appointment as honorary chairman of the Texas Savings Bond Committee at Hotel Texas from Ed Gossett, right, of Dallas, co-chairman in Texas with Nathan Adams of Dallas. The appointment came from Treasury Secretary Humphrey. the honor came while Shivers was in Fort Worth to speak to the State Bar of Texas.
