Description
Lieutenant John P. Owens of Brownsville, left receives the Lieutenant Jack Knight Award from Mr. and Mrs. Roy Knight of Millsap and their surviving son, Captain Loyd Knight, right, at a ceremony in Nort Fort Hood. Lieutenant Knight, a member of the 112th Armored Cavaltry Regiment, Texas National Guard, when he was killed in World War II, was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously. Owens is commander of the company which won regimental competition for the trophy.
