Fort Worth dignitaries chatted with Air Force Chief of Staff-designate General Nathan F. Twining before the general's speech in Dallas. Left to right are George W. Armstrong Jr. president of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Brig. General Joe W. Kelly, commander of the 19th Air Division, Carswell Air Force Base; General Twining, Fort Worth Mayor Edgar Deen and Ralph G. Platt of Cleveland, president of the Aviation Writers Association whose convention the general addressed.
