Channel catfish are most difficult of ordinary fresh-water fish to produce in hatcheries. Here J. S. Whiteman, left, Fred Wood, and, right, Superintendent K. W. Morrison of the U. S. fish hatchery at Lake Worth are pairing off the big cats prior to putting them in the breeding pens.
