Description
Mrs. Grady Lloyd Pond, is shown lying in bed with her twin daughters Ida Fay (left), and Ola May (right), cuddled close in her arms. The twins were born several miles apart, as little Ola was born in the ambulance En-route to the hospital, while her sister Ida was born minutes later after the mother's arrival in the delivery room. Mrs. Pond's mother, Mrs. Mattie Wolfe, a local funeral home attendant at Lucas Funeral Home, assisted with the delivery in the ambulance as they sped through Haltom City. Published in the evening edition, April 21, 1950.
