Obedience Winners At Houston - This group of dogs trained by their owners, members of the Fort Worth Dog Training Club, were big winners at the recent obedience trials of the Houston Kennel Club. On right, front row, is the Boston terrier, Meyers Mighty Midget, owned by Arthur J. Meyers, highest scoring dog in trials with 196 and a half points. The dachshund, Queen Schnapps, owned by Mary Cecilia Sprekelmeyer, scored 193. Back row, left to right: Warrant Officer Samuel H. Cox's German shepherd, Jet; Mary Ann Gay's Weimaraner, Vel; Robert C. Pepper's Weimaraner, Golden Hill Gammer; Mrs. Dwight Dobson Jr.'s Doberman pinscher, Urda; Richard B. Moncried's Weimaraner, Silver King II, and Mrs. Edward McKee's Weimaraner, Golden Hill Gilbert. The trophies were awarded in the various classes won.
