This image shows the three first prize dresses in the Star-Telegram Home Sewing contest. To the left of the image, young Paulette Roney wears a dress made by her mother Mrs. Paul Roney of Jermyn. In the center of the image stands Shirley Hedgpeth, a student of Texas Wesleyan College (TWC) in an evening gown she made herself. To the right of the image, the seven-year-old Judy Carol Latimer wears a dress made by Miss Patsy Butts, another student of Texas Wesleyan College (TWC). Published in the evening edition, April 20, 1950.
