Description

Charles Johnston (left) and Bernice Johnston (right) of Paducah Texas were two of the more than 300 riders that participated in the opening parade at the Cottle-King Show in Paducah. In the image Charles, 9, sits next to his sister Bernice, 5, on a horse known as "Old Paint". The two are the children of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Johnston. Published in the morning edition, April 17, 1950.
