William D. Barney of 2325 Westbrook, president of the Poetry Society of Texas, spoke at North Texas State College on March 26 during the Denton school's second annual Twentieth Century Festival of Fine Arts. Barney's "Kneel From the Stone" won the North Texas State College $100 award for the best book of poetry by a Texan in 1952.
