The Judges who picked up the queen of the 1953 Mardi Gras festival Wednesday at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum confer at the judging reception at Colonial Country Club Saturday night. Left to right, Abbott Hoecker, Mrs. James A. Leonard and J. Lee Johnson Jr. compare notes with Eugene Crosthwait, retiring president of the Senior Catholic Youth Organization. The CYO sponsored the reception for the 21 princesses and the king, Ronald Clinkscale of Texas Christian University (TCU).
