Mike Ward, Golden Gloves veteran from Carswell Air Force Base, will try for the 135-pound title in the Fort Worth regional tournament starting Thursday, January 15. Ward represented Wichita Falls in the state tournament two years ago and last year boxed at Chicago as the Chanute Field representative. He has boxed as a welter until this year.
