An unidentified man in a military uniform pins a mum corsage to North Side High School homecoming queen, Ella Jean Sowards. Clipping reads: "Ella Jean Sowards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Sowards has plenty to celebrate. She will reign as homecoming queen of North Side High School during the NSHS-Paschal football game Thursday. Ella Jean also took part in Wednesday's homecoming events at the school."
