Police chief Rolan Howerton, left, and Deputy Chief Cato Hightower are shown here taking inventory of the loot. A thermos jug sealed with paraffin, unearthed early Monday morning, November 3rd, near Azle, contained $128,000 of the $248,000 taken in the Oct. 3 robbery of two Cubans at Western Hills Hotel. Found in the same hole was a $4,250 in defense bonds taken in a holdup at Kilgore.
