Mrs. Opal Smith, deputy district clerk, demonstrates how to cast Texas' secret ballot. Marked and folded ballot goes in big boxes. Detached and folded stub goes into locked and sealed smaller box, which is later destroyed. In background are stacked stub boxes, numbered by precinct.
