Fashions: Model Shown Wearing Ike-Dick and Adlai-John Garters. The model's right knee probably doesn't know how the left is voting. Latest indication of political preference for the distaff side is in white-starred red garters, bound in blue satin. Small streamers under the donkey (representing the Democratic party) are lettered, "Adlai" and "John," for Adlai E. Stevenson and John Sparkman. The GOP (Republican party) garter has the names of "Ike" and "Dick" for Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard Nixon.
