Description

City of Fort Worth. General Exterior Shot of house at 1510 W. Peter Smith which has been a "home for the homeless and aged [African Americans] for many years." The house was declared unsafe for its aged and disabled African Americans occupants and ordered closed. A year later, the doors opened to house African American homeless people after meeting all city health and fire prevention standards. [see scan 20133021]
