John W. Carpenter, right, of Dallas, president of the Trinity River Improvement Association, pushed the button in outlet works at Grapevine Dam Thursday to begin impoundment of water on Denton Creek which will create Grapevine Lake. With him is Col. H. R. Hallock, acting Fort Worth district engineer.
