Description
Sam Snead, in deep trouble on the 10th hole at National Open second round, digs the ball up and out of the water. The ball struck a tree on the opposite side of the green and fell back to leave Snead a 25-foot putt, which he missed. Sam, even par, shot a 75. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition June 14, 1952.
