Description
Joe Conrad sinks a six-foot putt for a par and his tying 68 on the 18th green at Colonial. The North Texas State student and Raymond Gaffor, Northwood pro, finished in a deadlock for the first day lead. Conrad scored a birdie on 17, and needed a one-putt green on 18 for the tie. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition May 23, 1952.
