Captain Gus Crawford looks and talks like the movie and TV version of the New York policeman. He is broad-shouldered guy with a square chin and a 10th Ave. accent. He also served his time pounding a beat on the sidewalks of New York. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 16, 1952.
