Description

J. R. Murphy was elected to succeed Thomas McCann as president of the Fort Worth Chapter, Association General Contractors, at a luncheon meeting at the Worth Hotel. He grew up in the construction business here. A native of Fort Worth, he worked as a boy with his father, the late W. H. Murphy, who was engaged in the realty and building business for many years. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 4, 1952.
