Description

Woodruff DeSilva, Los Angeles director of aviation, paused Tuesday in his campaigning for 1953's convention of the American Association of Airport Executives to examine a 1000-watt flashing hazard beacon among the displays of airport equipment on Hotel Texas' 14th floor. The red-blinking lights are most frequently seen on radio and TV towers. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 2, 1952.
