Description
These five Fort Worth pitchers have a record of 123 victories against 50 losses from the 1951 season. Left to right, the young hurlers and their records are: Edward Arthur (28-11, at Lamesa); Elroy Face (23-9, at Pueblo); Kennesaw Mountain Landis Hemphill (27-10, at Pauls Valley); James Melton (22-13, at Abilene); and Ralph Butler (23-7, at Hornell, New York). Face and Arthur are 24, the others younger. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, March 24, 1952.
