    Mrs. Marie Jordan Speer, founder, past president and national board chairman of the Gold Star Wives of America, Incorporated, an organization that begun in 1945 by a small group of widows whos spouses died in World War II. She is pictured shortly after having arrived in Fort Worth on an organizational tour of Texas.
