Description
As a husband and father - a robbery suspect - lies wounded in a hospital after a gun battle here in which one detective was slain and two others wounded, the suspect's 4-year-old-daughter, Sandra Barber, sits grieving on the curb near her home. Frightened and alone, Sandra Barber fails to find comfort in sympathy offered by Mrs. J. B. Scruggs of 3101 Bright, a passerby, or in her doll. The child witnessed the shooting which killed a detective and wounded two others and her father. The boy at right is unidentified.
