Gay Copeland of Sonora, left, president of the National Cutting Horse Association, presented a silver belt buckle to Douglas Mitchell of Fort Worth, retiring secretary of the group since 1918. Mitchell's successor is L. P. Bloodworth of Sonora. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition February 3, 1952.
