Honor guests at the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show were a group of Dallas bankers and officials. They were presented Shady Oak hats by Amon Carter. From left to right, top row, are Fred F. Florence, president of the Republic National Bank; Dallas Mayor, J. B. Adoue Jr., president of National Bank of Commerce; and P. B (Jack) Garrett, president of Texas Bank and Trust Company; bottom row, Nathan Adams, honorary chairman of the board of First National Bank of Dallas; R. L. Thornton Sr., chairman of the board of Mercantile National Bank, and Dewitt T. Ray Sr., president of National City Bank. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition February 1, 1952.
