Description
Former Junior League presidents dug in trunks for dresses they brought "to preside in" during their terms of office. In the group shown are, left to right, seated, Mmes. Charles L. Morgan and Edward M. Muse, and standing, Mmes. Eugene T. Adair, J. Lee Johnson Junior, William K. Fuhri, W. P. Bomar, Frank S. Schoonover Junior, and Sam B. Cantey Junior. Mrs. Johnson is holding a mop and broom because during the time she held office, the league was so busy promoting the Lighthouse for the Blind that officers always had a broom or mop, made at the Lighthouse, in hand.
