Twelve-year-old Jimmy Thompson of Gladewater took first place at the afternoon horse show of the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show in the children's Saddle Pony Class, riding Little Pony. Jimmy gets his ribbon from Cowboy movie Actor Wild Bill Elliott. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition January 27, 1952.
