Description
The image, near Glen Rose, shows the 26-inch pipe laid along the ditch which was dug for the carrier, owned jointly by Cities Service Oil Company, Pure Oil Company, Sun Oil Company, Gulf Oil Corporation and Standard Oil Company of Ohio. The 440-mile line had initial capacity of 300,000 barrels daily.
