Exchanging blows to the head, Poly's Leonard Smith, left, and Claude McLaren of Handley slug it out in their Golden Gloves flyweight duel. Smith got best of it in quick order to record fastest victory of 45-bout program with 40-second technical knockout in the first round. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition January 19, 1952.
