Mr. Tom E. Rose and Mrs. C. Easter Rose of Huron, Texas, near Whitney, are shown as the observed their 79th wedding anniversary. They are believed to be the oldest living married couple in the United States. Mrs. Ross is confined to her bed most of the time, Mr. Rose get s around well with a walking stick. Published in the morning edition, January 18, 1952.
