Leo Ehlinger, third from left, Brownwood district state highway engineer, gets congratulations from Fred A. Wemple of Midland, member of the Highway Commission at a chamber of commerce banquet in Brownwood upon his retirement after 32 years with the department. Others at banquet were, left to right, State Highway Engineer DeWitt C. Greer; Robert Milligan, Ehlinger's successor; Ehlinger, Wemple, and at right T. J. Potts, Harlingen, commission member and classmate of Ehlinger's in the 1906 Texas A&M class.
