    J. L. Pridemore of the North Side Lions Club, left, and Saxon Whalin, right, of the South Side Lions Club, lent an ear to Fiddler Shorty Bates before a group of Lions left for a swing through Central Texas to boost the 1952 Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. Pridemore and Whalin are trip co-chairmen. They all are wearing hats labeled, "Fort Worth." Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition January 8, 1952.
