Description
Buddy Dyer, partially blind Dallas bandleader and singer, with his German shepherd, "Mike". Mike matched up Buddy with Marguerite Martin of Kermit, right, whom he married. The 100-lb. dog was trained by Buddy to perform as well as guide, has appeared in Dallas stages with his master and mistress. Buddy also worked a book "Champions uncrowned", an autobiography but is largely a tribute to Mike and the devotion and faithfulness of all dogs. Published in the morning edition, January 11, 1952.
