    Description

    This painting, inspired by a night scene of oil derricks near Jacksboro, won a $25 anonymously-given award for George Grammer in the current Local Artists Show at the Fort Worth Art Association gallery at the Public Library. The prize was given to the artist who had not won previous prizes in the show. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition March 26, 1950.
