Description
Clipping reads: "Fort Worth [residents] were asked what they hope they'll have to be thankful for by Thanksgiving of 1952...a jolly department store elevator pilot [will be happy if he's in good health and] wouldn't think of letting a quizzical visitor down. The lift operator, A. V. Howard of 803 W. Jefferson, retired because of his health from a job at Swift & Company. 'I've gotten in pretty good shape now,' he said. 'I hope I can stay this way.' But his condition will get a rugged test over the Christmas season. He starts playing Santa Claus at the store Friday morning." Photo shows a man wearing a suit, smiling.
