Description
Mrs. Homer Hard of 3604 Ave. North, Fort Worth, points out to her son, James, a chocolate and cake version of buildings his ancestor, J. W. Owens, might have seen when he pioneered in Texas. The cake was donated by Leonard's Department Store of Fort Worth. The cake display shows a representation of Fort Belknap and its buildings, including those with text titles written in icing reading "1851," "Commissary," "Corn House," and two titled "Barrack."
