    Description

New channel for Trinity River is shown being dug just north of E. Belknap as part of the $339,200 second contract in Fort Worth's floodway improvement project. The straightening, at center, will eliminate a bend, at right, that now crooks the river eastward to near Scenic Dr., far right. John F. Buckner & Sons, Cleburne, hold the contract for clearing and excavation between E. Belknap and the T&P Bridge, and for channel clearing between the lower Rock Island and T&P bridges.
