Mrs. Jesse Dyer became president of the Gold Star Mothers of Tarrant County at Veterans Memorial when District Attorney Stewart Hellman handed her the gavel of office. Others installed were Mmes. C. U. Kanes, F. G. Howell and H. L. Goodspeed, vice presidents; O. Z. Rawlings, treasurer; A. L. Martin, secretary; A. P. Biggs, historian, and Ann Scoggins, sergeant at arms. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, September 25, 1951.
