Description
A supply of the greatest single life-saving medicine needed by the armed forces is viewed at the North Texas National Defense Blood Center by three dedication ceremony honor guests. Left to right are Private First Class Donald Bratthaur of Algonquin, Illinois, a Korean veteran; Major General Hobart R. Gay, deputy commanding general of the 4th Army, and Major General C. S. Irvine, commander of the 19th Air Division at Carswell Air Force Base. The three men are looking at jars of blood, being held in a fridge. Bratthaur is shown using crutches.
