    Description

    The Republic of Uruguay presented 65 books to the Fort Worth Public Library on the 126th anniversary of the Republic's independence day and in token of friendship between Uruguay and the United States. Making presentation to Librarian J. S. Ibbotson, at right, is Commander Oman F. Aguirre of the Uruguayan Naval Air Force, who is commanding officer of a 25 officer detachment at Cobell Supply Corporation here. In background are left to right, Lieutenant Oscar Llornes, Lieutenant Enrique Falco, Lieutenant Hugh Martini, and Ensigns Americo Noble and Luis Rivero. Cobell has a contract with the republic to rebuild naval aircraft. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 26, 1951.
