Description
Sergeants and corporals at Carswell Air Base went into a tail spin the first time they saw Carolyn Connell. They promptly elected her "Miss NCO-Oh-Oh". One glance at this trim red head, who puts a ballad across like Dinah Shore, proves the nation is in safe hands. The military judgement has not yet faltered. Carolyn's election also is a triumph for home and hearth. The pretty young singer, a glamorous knockout on the bandstand, is the mother of three small children, keeps her hard-working husband well fed and happy and does her own housework. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 19, 1951.
