Some long-distance telephone operators in Fort Worth walked off their jobs in protest against the heat in their working quarters. Shown here cooling off at a downtown drug store near the telephone building are, left to right, Quanogene Dorough, Myrna Faye Ridener, Sue Wilson and Imogene Clark.
