Mrs. Leon Ford exhibits bananas grown on a tree in her backyard at 2220 North West 25th. The tree, a 3 year old offshoot of an older tree, must be covered with newspapers during the winter to keep it from dying, but this summer's heat hasn't hurt it a bit, Mrs. Ford said. Mrs. She is shown with the banana tree in her backyard. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August 16, 1951.
