Pictured is Vernon (Buster) Brock ahead of the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation (TAAF) Boxing Meet. Clipping reads: "A fast, compact five-team field plotted with prominent names already is set for the two night amateur boxing tournament which starts Friday [September 7, 1951] at Rockwood Baseball Park. R. D. Evans, superintendent of the recreation department, is tournament director. He'll be assisted by Vernon (Buster) Brock, who has been conducting a parks boxing program this summer, and Gene Ritchmond, manager of the Golden Gloves-National Guard Gym." Published in the in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, September 2, 1951.
